These minority-owned medical cannabis firms fought for a license for two years. Now the hard work begins.


Ciara Dubbé hugged one of her employees upon learning she had been pre-approved for a Maryland medical cannabis license and would be able to start her own company.


“As a woman of color, I want every little girl to know, do not give up,” Dubbé said. “It means so much more than just the license.”
