Our Mission
The Maryland Wholesale Cannabis Trade Association (CANMD) promotes the responsible advancement of the Maryland cannabis industry, fostering a favorable social, economic and legal climate. The catalysts for our work are improved public health, public awareness, education and advocacy and the advancement of science.
Providing a unified voice for licensed growers and processors in Maryland, we support efforts to create transparency, accountability and consistency in our state’s cannabis industry and strive to educate and act as a resource to lawmakers, medical providers, patients, consumers and those interested in the Maryland cannabis industry.
Regular membership is open to all growers and processors licensed and license awardees of the Maryland Cannabis Administration. CANMD also provides an Associate Member program for businesses that support the growers and processors in building a robust cannabis industry in Maryland.
The majority of Maryland licensed growers and processors, and those in the Stage-One pre-licensee phase* are members of CANMD. Membership provides an environment of networking, learning, fostering relationships and effecting positive policy and regulation within the Maryland cannabis industry.
Becoming a CANMD member strengthens our unified industry voice and recognizes your significant investment in Maryland’s cannabis industry. Active and valued contribution and participation in CANMD activities provides for greater success of our programs.

*Stage One licensees pay no dues until fully licensed and operational
