Happy Friday, ladies and gents. Nothing like a little weed news to get you into weekend mode, right? Here’s what’s been happening in the local cannabis market lately. 

Two medical marijuana retailers and one grower have officially joined the ranks of fully operational cannabis businesses in Maryland. 

At the first 2020 meeting of the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) this week, regulators awarded final operating licenses to three businesses. The newest licensees included a dispensary called The Dispensary in Westminster, and another called Maryland Physician Partners LLC in Curtis Bay. District Cannabis, a growing business that hails from the Washington, D.C. market and has set up a 45,000-square-foot facility in Hagerstown, also earned its full operating license.
